Cement Terminal Automation for SESCO Cement

PLC/SCADA programming and commissioning for Houston silo expansion, plus standardized controls for Tampa cement receiving, storage and distribution.

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Cement terminal automation across Houston and Tampa facilities

JESolutions provided cement terminal automation engineering for SESCO Cement across two facilities in Houston, Texas, and Tampa, Florida.

In Houston, the engineering scope included PLC programming and commissioning associated with a cement silo expansion. In Tampa, JESolutions supported standardized PLC/SCADA controls for powdered cement receiving, storage, material transfer, and distribution operations.

Together, these assignments demonstrate automation engineering experience across both facility expansion and bulk-material handling applications.

Houston Silo Expansion Programming

JESolutions provided PLC programming for a cement silo expansion at the Houston facility. The engineering work supported the integration of additional silo storage infrastructure into the terminal’s existing material-handling operations.

Houston Commissioning Support

Commissioning was part of the reported Houston engineering scope. JESolutions also provided commissioning support for the Houston silo expansion, helping bring the programmed controls into the facility’s operating environment as part of the expansion project.

Tampa PLC/SCADA Standardization

At the Tampa facility, JESolutions supported a standardized PLC/SCADA approach for powdered cement handling and distribution. The automation scope covered ship unloading, cement storage, material transfer, truck and rail distribution, and packing operations.

The standardized controls approach provided a common engineering framework across the terminal’s material-handling systems.

Bulk Material Distribution Workflows

Cement terminal automation coordinates the movement of bulk materials from receiving through storage and outbound distribution. At the Tampa facility, the controls scope encompassed ship unloading and multiple distribution and packing pathways, supporting integrated material handling across terminal operations.
